IMPORTANT DEADLINES

  • All deadlines, except for rosters, are due 11:59 p.m. ET.
  • Rosters are due 72 hours before the start time of each event. Each member of the roster must have an individual player membership (trials are not allowed for qualifier). Each team must also have a certified coach.
  • To compete at a USQ National Qualifier event, the team must be fully registered for the tournament at least 3 weeks before.
  • You must book your hotel via our hotel portal by the noted deadline unless your stay and play exemption is approved. All teams in both club and college division should anticipate 2 days of gameplay at each qualifier.

TEAM REGISTRATION

Teams must be official USQ teams before registering for one of these events.

The registration process and requirements are the same for collegiate and club teams. Each will need to sign up for a USQ Team Membership. Teams will rank their top 3 National Qualifier choices upon team registration. The week of December 1, team preferences will be used to assign teams to a National Qualifier. For teams who register after December 1, USQ Gameplay and USQ Events will assign teams to National Qualifiers based on their preferences on a rolling basis.

Be sure to follow the deadlines above for the qualifier you are assigned to.

Teams will be contacted after rosters have been submitted to confirm that all participants are compliant with USQ (have a USQ membership, proof of enrollment if a college athlete, have completed necessary referee requirements). Any questions on member compliance can be directed to membership@usquadball.org

Team Provided Referees and Flag Runner

Teams are required to provide referee crews and a flag runner to help fill several game slots. If a team does not fulfill their referee and flag runner obligations or their referees and flag runner do not show up for their games as assigned, they will be subject to forfeit for all remaining games of the tournament. National Qualifier Resource Guide

The National Qualifier resource guide contains essential information for team leaders, coaches, and players. It will include a list of all policies attendees need to be aware of and a detailed schedule for the weekend. It will also have details about the area. The National Qualifier resource guide will be available at least 1.5 - 2 weeks before your event.

Player Check-in

The process below could change before the start of a National Qualifier - please refer to your National Qualifier resource guide for the final plan.

Player check-in will happen on-site on Friday evening. We encourage teams to check in at the appropriate hotel on Friday night to avoid possible delays at the tournament site on Saturday morning.

  • Any players, coaches, or non-playing staff who do not check in on Friday evening must check in on Saturday morning.
  • Any player who has not yet checked in will not be permitted to enter the fields or play in any games until they have completed the registration process. Players who violate this policy risk disqualifying their entire team from the event.

Captains' meetings

Captains’ meetings will be held at the same spot as player check-in. Each meeting will be between USQ event staff and the captains.

  • It is mandatory that captains attend one of these in-person meetings.
  • During this meeting, USQ event staff will provide an overview of the event, describe tournament-specific policies, and answer questions.
  • Each team is required to send only one representative to the meeting.
